City Officials And Government Listings

There are few places in the world where it's as easy to feel at home as in Central Massachusetts in New England. This is right where America first began and is filled with charm and community hospitality that you can't get anywhere else. And with all of this comes a local government that's willing and eager to help you with a variety of services. If you need help finding a local job working construction with a slurry mixer, they can help you there. They can also help your voice be heard on a number of local issues. But in order to get help within the city, you need to know where to go. Here is a short guide to city services in Worchester.

The city's official website is great for finding a wealth of information about what's going on in the area. If you're looking for an H1N1 flu vaccination clinic or city news about replacing the sewage treatment chemicals used throughout Worchester, you will find it all right on their homepage. This is also where you'll want to go if you're paying a parking ticket online or searching through the public records. The City Clerk is responsible for all of the city records. So, if you can't find them online you can visit their office directly.

If you're bringing a trade mark Canadian or independent small business to the area then you're definitely going to want to check out the services offered by the local Economic Development office. They are located at 44 Front Street, Suite 530 and are committed to strengthening and building the local economy. Here you can learn about city business legislation as well as start to network and build business relationships. Whether you want to apply for a research and development tax credit or learn about Worchester land development, this is the office for you.

If you've got a bone to pick with the city council or are just interested in getting involved in city events, you should take a trip to City Hall. It is located at 455 Main Street and contains the offices of the Mayor and ten city councilors. Five of these represent different districts of the city, while the other five act as councilors-at-large. If you have a sheaf of papers full of questions, this is where you're going to want to go to get them answered.

If you're new to Worchester, the city website also has information for those living and working in the city. You can learn about the public transit routes and about buying a home here in Worchester.
